The Crucial First Step Towards Success
Take your first step towards success!
Have you given a thought to a situation or an experience
which made you to take an important step in your life? Yes, we are talking
about that interesting moment in your life. Be it when you decided to pursue
higher education in the midst of your job. Or if you can relate to an instance,
when in a strained marriage, one partner steps forward to settle down the
differences with the other for the sake of their children and, thus, this ends
up in making it a trustful and happier bonding. Or remember your first take in
a screen test for acting that brought you a break in the film industry. If you
have been encountered with any of the situations like this, then that special
moment, when you stepped in, was the most important one, i.e., the first step
towards it.
Now, think about that point in life when you restrained
yourself to take a leap and somewhere deep in your heart, repent for not taking
that first step. Say, you have feelings in your heart for a girl in your office
but haven’t expressed it yet. Or you once aimed to become an IAS officer but
did not appear for the exam being afraid of not clearing it. Or you wanted to
join a renowned company but didn’t go for the interview. These situations give
us a sense of regret that we had not taken a chance for the opportunity that
striked at one point in our life.
What’s needed to set your mind to take the first step
towards a goal is the courage and positive attitude. Your self determination
will drive you towards it. You should not let it go as a mere dream. Unleash
your potential to accomplish that thing. It is easier said than done. No doubt,
you’ll be faced with many obstacles on your way but you have to overcome them.
It’s you and only you who can do it. No other can help you out but your own
will-power.
So, if you have a desire in your mind to do something, and
you are waiting for the right time to come, then think again. The right time is
now. They say “think before you leap” but do take a leap before it’s too late.
If at all you don’t succeed, at least you had the guts to give it a try than
not. This will give you a sense of achievement even in such a failure, if not
success, in the form of a valuable experience that you’ll earn yourself with
the effort. You will not go empty-handed, my friend, any way!
